The development of the domestic market of fish products will be the topic of an industry session at the Eastern Economic Forum this year.

Evgeny Karpov, co-founder of the Kamchatka Meridian Trading House and CEO of Fishstat, believes that incentive purchase systems open up interesting opportunities for popularizing fish and seafood among Russians, including on electronic platforms.

"There are opportunities for joint projects with the same marketplaces. Relatively speaking, buy pollock products and get cashback for some needs," the Fishnews interlocutor gave an example.

He spoke about plans to use such tools on his platform for b2c trade in fish products.

"In general, it seems to me that collaborations — in different variants – have a good potential for the development of fish and seafood consumption," Evgeny Karpov believes.

He also noted that he is working on entering the HoReCa segment with fish establishments, and this will be a format aimed at young people.
